Each team member is passionate about his/her work environment and the overall synergy created by the employees make all the hard work involved in providing a great service such a wealthy and rewarding experience. Olga Stanichevskaia

Olga Stanichevskaia

Head of Sales & Reservations

Olga heads the Sales and Marketing department at IELS. She has been building professional relationships with agents from all around the world since 2004. Originally from Moscow, Olga speaks both English and Russian and works with an international sales team which boasts a portfolio that includes countries from all continents and cultures around the world. Olga is also passionate about her Himalayan cats ‘Princess’ and ‘Tzaro’!. In a different life Olga was a world famous pianist!

 
Daniel Mangani

Daniel Mangani

Head of School

Daniel has been working at IELS for 17 years and oversees the Schools and Hotel Operations. His mission in life is to make sure all students have a productive and enjoyable stay during their stay. Born into a family of linguists, he is a self-professed nerd and a general knowledge buff. Having joined IELS when he was only 18 - Daniel feels it is his second home and dreams of one day sailing the high seas and exploring distant shores.

International Sales Manager

With over 15 years’ experience in the EFL sector, one of the things which Carol loves most about her job is the fact that it has given her the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, as well as visit many countries and learn about different cultures. Having lived in 3 different countries, Carol speaks 4 languages (English, Maltese, Italian and Spanish) and loves to promote the English language, as she feels it is a gateway which opens many doors for both young students and adults alike. Carol is very passionate about the arts, has studied piano and dance, loves the theatre and currently sings in a choir. She is also especially fond of cats.

HR & Administration Manager

Caroline has a broad ranging professional and practical experience in her field. She is responsible for the Human Resources Department with the daily administration of the company and also acts as a liaison between all our departments. Full of energy, Caroline is known for always being zealous. Caroline also has a blue-belt in Karate.

Carmen Sylvester

Carmen Sylvester

Facilities Manager

Carmen has been working at IELS Malta for the last 20 months as Facilities Manager. She is considered as the go to person for any health and safety issues, maintenance and runs the cleaning departments of all schools and residences. Before Carmen joined IELS, she worked in the hospitality department of various hotels for over 25 years, it is here she gained so much of her experience. In her spare time Carmen loves to spend her time with family and close friends.

 
Rosabel Azzopardi

Academic Manager

As Academic Manager, Rosabel is in charge of overseeing and planning all academic aspects at IELS. Rosabel is a CELTA Teacher Trainer and has been teaching for over 14 years. We are very proud that Rosabel was awarded the prestigious ‘Inspirational Teacher of the Year’ in 2015. When she is not eating or trying to play tennis, Rosabel can be found buried in novels or cuddling her two dogs. Her dream is to travel the world and learn different languages.

Bernice Bugeja

Leisure & Welfare Manager

Bernice has been involved in the events industry for the past 10 years. Having completed her Tourism Studies degree at The University of Malta, Bernice read for a Masters in Conference and Event Management at the University of Westminster in London. Still in her young 20s, after a stint of working for top event organisers in the UK, Bernice returned to Malta as part of the events team of a newly-opened 5-star hotel, working extensively within the local corporate event market. Bernice, now heads up the team that focuses on all logistical and organisational details of IELS' Leisure Programme including the well-being of our clients. She loves travelling and meeting people with different cultural backgrounds but admits that she has three weak points ... chocolate, shoes and bags!
