Here are a few of the team members.

Olga Stanichevskaia

Olga Stanichevskaia

Head of Sales & Reservations

Olga heads the Sales and Marketing department at IELS. She has been building professional relationships with agents from all around the world since 2004. Originally from Moscow, Olga speaks both English and Russian and works with an international sales team which boasts a portfolio that includes countries from all continents and cultures around the world. Olga is also passionate about her Himalayan cats ‘Princess’ and ‘Tzaro’!. In a different life Olga was a world famous pianist!

 
Lesinda Leightley

Lesinda Leightley

Head of Marketing & Business Development

Lesinda leads the Marketing and Business Development side of the IELS group. She has worked for an international English language school chain as well as a UK-based group of schools, and brings with her over fifteen years of marketing experience. Originally from South Africa, Lesinda has lived in three countries and has experience in business development across 18 nations over five continents. Outside of work, Lesinda has a Grade four in opera singing and ballet and loves discovering new things, be it new cultures, food, art and music.

Daniel Mangani

Daniel Mangani

Operations Manager

Daniel has been working at IELS for 15 years and oversees the Schools and Hotel Operations. His mission in life is to make sure all students have a productive and enjoyable stay during their stay. Born into a family of linguists, he is a self-professed nerd and a general knowledge buff. Having joined IELS when he was only 18 - Daniel feels it is his second home and dreams of one day sailing the high seas and exploring distant shores.

HR & Administration Manager

Caroline has a broad ranging professional and practical experience in her field. She is responsible for the Human Resources Department with the daily administration of the company and also acts as a liaison between all our departments. Full of energy, Caroline is known for always being zealous. Caroline also has a blue-belt in Karate.

Carol Galea Souchet

Carol Galea Souchet

International Sales Manager

With over 15 years’ experience in the EFL sector, one of the things which Carol loves most about her job is the fact that it has given her the opportunity to meet people from all over the world, as well as visit many countries and learn about different cultures. Having lived in 3 different countries, Carol speaks 4 languages (English, Maltese, Italian and Spanish) and loves to promote the English language, as she feels it is a gateway which opens many doors for both young students and adults alike. Carol is very passionate about the arts, has studied piano and dance, loves the theatre and currently sings in a choir. She is also especially fond of cats.

 
Rosabel Azzopardi

Academic Manager

As Academic Manager, Rosabel is in charge of overseeing and planning all academic aspects at IELS. Rosabel is a CELTA Teacher Trainer and has been teaching for over 14 years. We are very proud that Rosabel was awarded the prestigious ‘Inspirational Teacher of the Year’ in 2015. When she is not eating or trying to play tennis, Rosabel can be found buried in novels or cuddling her two dogs. Her dream is to travel the world and learn different languages.

Bernice Bugeja

Leisure & Welfare Manager

Bernice has been involved in the events industry for the past 10 years. Having completed her Tourism Studies degree at The University of Malta, Bernice read for a Masters in Conference and Event Management at the University of Westminster in London. Still in her young 20s, after a stint of working for top event organisers in the UK, Bernice returned to Malta as part of the events team of a newly-opened 5-star hotel, working extensively within the local corporate event market. Bernice, now heads up the team that focuses on all logistical and organisational details of IELS' Leisure Programme including the well-being of our clients. She loves travelling and meeting people with different cultural backgrounds but admits that she has three weak points ... chocolate, shoes and bags!

 
Carmen Sylvester

Carmen Sylvester

Facilities Manager

Carmen has been working at IELS Malta for the last 20 months as Facilities Manager. She is considered as the go to person for any health and safety issues, maintenance and runs the cleaning departments of all schools and residences. Before Carmen joined IELS, she worked in the hospitality department of various hotels for over 25 years, it is here she gained so much of her experience. In her spare time Carmen loves to spend her time with family and close friends.

Having started building his first websites in 1999, Karl is part of the Internet generation. Karl has grown from simple webmaster to one that combines every element of the Internet. A talented web specialist with a prodigious eye for detail. Karl loves travelling, has a passion for cars and enjoys cooking. There is one thing Karl cannot live without – and that is Music!

Marketing & Business Executive

Pauline is the newest addition to the marketing team. With 10 years of experience in marketing and communication, she enjoys the multiplicity of tasks coming with her position: from strategy to coding or graphic design, Pauline enjoys seeing projects globally. Originally from France, she has lived in 5 different countries. Apart from IELS, Pauline is also a certified babywearing consultant at a local baby shop.

Lorena Rebolo Sanchez

Lorena Rebolo Sanchez

Welfare Coordinator

Lorena has been working with IELS for about a year and started as a Welfare Officer in our summer school in Gzira. Lorena is now our famous Welfare Coordinator and takes care of the well-being of both our adult and Young Learner students. Originally from Barcelona, Lorena lived in London and Koln before moving to our sunny Maltese Islands where she enjoys water sports and barbecues on the beach. Lorena would be pleased to help you with anything regarding general well-being as well as visa issues but plan ahead as she is very talkative and might never stop talking!

Young Learner Leisure Coordinator

Dario has been IELS's Young Learner Leisure Co-ordinator for the past 3 years. He is the man behind the awesome activity programs for our young students. Mostly known for his jokes and his communicative laugh, Dario would be happy to talk with you about Sicily, his native island, Brazil, his dream trip or anything related to Harry Potter. If you are looking for a mood booster, Dario is the go-to guy!
